Dr. Abhijeet Kumar Kohat is a postgraduate in medicine and completed his neurology residency at the prestigious Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences Lucknow. He obtained a clinical fellowship in Parkinson's Disease And Movement Disorders from the National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore, which is a center of excellence in Parkinson's Disease. He has extensive work experience. He worked as Clinical faculty in the Dept of Neurology In the Nizam’s Institute Of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, and the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences Bhopal. His area of interest includes Parkinson's disease, dystonia, tremors, dementia, deep brain stimulation (DBS), botulinum toxin injections, headache disorders, and stroke. Dr. Abhijeet adopts a comprehensive approach to any disease and prioritizes management of the disease according to the patient's need.

Currently, he is an Associate Professor and Head of the department of neurology at DKS Post Graduate Institute And Research Center Raipur. He is a member of many national and international medical academies and societies. Dr. Abhijeet has an intense research passion and he has published more than 25 national and international papers including chapters in the books and guidelines. He has received the” Vaidya Shiromani award” by mother foundation (for serving differently-abled persons ) Hyderabad, India (2015)
